Terms of Service

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Shpitz ("Shpitz", "we", "us") for using the Shpitz apps and shpitz.app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Shpitz

You must be at least 17 years old. You confirm your age when you sign up. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. You may sign in with Google, Apple, or an email and password.

2. How the Service works

Shpitz lets you talk live with friends and groups by holding a button. Voice is streamed and not recorded. Text, photos and location pins exist only for the current conversation and are deleted when it closes (you tap Close, the app is fully closed, or after 12 hours with no activity). Because nothing is kept, we cannot recover conversation content for you.

3. Acceptable use

Shpitz is unfiltered, real-time communication between users. You are responsible for what you say and send. You agree not to:

4. Blocking and reporting

You can block any user at any time; blocked users cannot reach you. You can report a user or content from inside the app. We review reports and may warn, limit, suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services — Shpitz is not an emergency service.

5. Plans, subscriptions and payment

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you send. You give us a limited permission to transmit and temporarily store it only as needed to deliver it to the people you send it to, and to delete it as described above.

7. Apple Watch

On Apple Watch, Shpitz can talk on its own only while the app is on screen or opened from a notification; your iPhone handles talk in the background.

8. Termination

You can stop using Shpitz and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if required by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service depends on networks and devices outside our control. It is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Do not rely on Shpitz for emergencies or safety-critical communication.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Shpitz is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Shpitz after that means you accept the updated terms.
